Sarah Hands
experimentation with colorful markmaking and poetry
Sarah Hands is an artist who works interchangeably between spreads of colorful pen circles, lines of color, and poetry. Sarah calls her dotted works "fields of flowers."
The marks Sarah makes vibrate with color and excitement. Sarah loves to use many colors together, and she is most drawn to neons. Her work has evolved in many ways since starting at Living Studios, and Sarah has become a prolific painter.
When Sarah writes poetry, she writes about family and things she loves.
Read more about Sarah's work in a blog post about her recent magazine feature here.
"Sarah's deliberate and careful markmaking is obvious in her work. Sarah's chosen colors and marks interact with each other in a symbiotic manner that invites the viewer to look more closely at the art and the world itself."
