Project Easy Access Corvallis

PEAC: a mission for community outreach & improvement

Walking around Corvallis, you may have noticed that cracks, holes, and bumps litter the walkways. These "character" filled sidewalks may act as an inconvenience for some, however, for others, they act as a road block. As an effort to start a conversation about accessibility on our sidewalks and other walkways, Living Studios is taping these cracks, holes, and bumps with brightly marked tape. Our action is inspired by the experience of Corvallis Gazette Times Columnist Dianne Roth who discussed her own sidewalk difficulties in a recent column.

This is the start of a new project called Project Easy Access Corvallis, or PEAC, for short. If you notice areas around Corvallis that are inaccessible or dangerous for pedestrians, you can report a problematic sidewalk through Corvallisoregon.gov on the Public Works page or click the link here.
