Shakers emphasized full participation in matters relating to their community and generally the community valued all its participants these are amongst the reasons we wish to accentuate this music. What does it mean to “Give the Gift of Voice?” Cornerstone Associates found the answer to this question this fall, with the help of The Benton County Foundation. Shaker Community Values and Culture informed their singing and study, and shaped an upcoming performance of “Singing Grams, From the Heart!”
